The
course has been designed specifically to give a solid
grounding in traditional woodland management and crafts.
There is an increasing interest in both of these areas
because the conservation benefits of traditional management
are well known. At the same time this course will promote
self confidence, life skills and creates a work structure
and ethos as well as fostering and appreciation of the
natural world.
Part
of the scheme involves each group producing their own
products to sell and the proceeds of any sales will
be given to a charity of their choice.
Progression
Successsful
candidates could progress either into employment or
onto a higher qualification such as a practical habitat
management or a countryside management course.
